Well after pouring out I don't know how many bottles of my homebrew - nail polish remover is not a good flavor! and taking abreak from brewing anything of my own - I went over to Jack's to give my old stand by - the Irish Red Ale recipe from Midwest Homebrewing Supply- a try. Well so far so good. I had no scorching, the color looks good and Jack tells me the yeast kicked off by last night. Hopefully I will have something in the old beer closet besides store-bought real soon. His brew was gurgling away Monday morning so he should have a good batch also.
